Forestry truck – is a type of truck special equipment designed for transportation of various long oblong cargoes (pipes, rolled products, poles, logs, timber).
As a rule, a standard truck chassis and an additional superstructure are used as a basis for sorting trucks.
If the sorting truck is intended exclusively for transportation from the harvesting sites on prepared roads (approximately 30 % – dirt roads, 70 % – highway), there is no need for four-wheel drive (it improves economy and the vehicle runs better on the highway).
