Movement on water

The design of the snow and swamp vehicle allows it to move on water, in swampy terrain, and on open and ice‑covered bodies of water. Movement on water is achieved through the rotation of the wheels; optionally, a propeller driven by the engine can be installed on the snow and swamp vehicle. With a propeller, the speed on water reaches 8 km/h. Directional movement is controlled by the front wheels.

Ultra‑low‑pressure tires

The MAZMAN BTB-200 snow and swamp vehicles are equipped with ultra‑low‑pressure pneumatic tires BEL‑192 “BME” manufactured by JSC “Belshina”, with a size of 1400×750‑610, which were specially designed for snow and swamp vehicles. The tires have been tested under the most challenging operating conditions:

movement through swampy/dry forest;

driving on thin ice;

driving over stumps and snags.

The design and characteristics of the tire ensure high cross‑country capability and buoyancy of the snow and swamp vehicle. Such tires practically do not damage the topsoil due to the low specific ground pressure (0.15 kg/cm2).

The body is made of fiberglass.

The body of the snow and swamp vehicle is made of fiberglass and has a sandwich-type structure with internal foam insulation to ensure thermal and sound insulation of the cabin. The rigidity of the body is determined by its structure and internal metal inserts.

Spacious and ultra‑modern interior.

The snowmobile’s interior will be appreciated by hunters and huntsmen.

Assemblies and systems

Suspension of all wheels of the BTB snowmobiler is independent, on cylindrical springs with hydraulic shock absorbers. Suspension arms are attached to the frame through silent blocks. Lever travel is limited by stops.

Pneumosystem

The snowmobile pneumatic system performs the following functions:

parking brake control;

raising and lowering the propeller;

operation of the automated tire inflation system.

Tire inflation system

Automated tire inflation system allows the driver to adjust wheel pressure without leaving the cab.

Management

The system allows you to adjust the pressure in one or more selected tires at the same time.

By reducing the tire pressure, the tire contact patch can be increased and therefore the ground pressure can be reduced, thus increasing the ground clearance on poorly bearing soils. High pressure is more suitable for driving on hard surfaces.

Indication

The tire pressure is shown on the display. Within the operating range of 0.1 to 0.5 atmospheres the wheel is displayed in green, otherwise in red. Keep in mind that exceeding the specified tire pressure range may destroy the tire.

Using the inflation system it is also possible to supply air for external consumption, for example, to inflate the tires of another vehicle, or to inflate the wheel of a snowmobile in case of damage to the pneumatic line leading to this wheel.

Electrical system

The electrical system of the snowmobiler is powered from the on-board network with a nominal voltage of 12V DC. The main parts of the electrical system are interconnected by a system communication line, including +12V and 0V power supply buses, as well as a three-wire CAN-bus interface, which is used to transfer data on the status of individual parts of the system and the necessary control actions.

LCD display

The display provides information necessary to operate and maintain the snowmobile.

Starter

The snowmobile engine is equipped with a starter 21213-3708010 KZATE 5722.3708. The starter is a DC motor with permanent magnet excitation, with electromagnetic relay, planetary reducer and free running clutch. The starter operates at ambient air temperature from minus (50+3) C° to plus (45+3)C° and humidity 90%.

Generator

The snowmobile is equipped with an alternator 21214-3701010, the technical specifications of which are shown in the table on the right. The alternator shaft is driven by a V-belt from the engine crankshaft.

Backup start unit

The backup start unit is required to start the snowmobiler engine when the LCD display is not illuminated when the “mass” is switched on and the condition of the electrical system does not allow starting the engine in the normal mode using the ignition switch and controls. Emergency starting of the engine by the backup starter unit is possible provided that the starter, engine and battery are in good working order.

Winch

Thanks to the low power motor, the electric current consumption is significantly reduced. The winch is equipped with a modern sealed solenoid unit, the mechanical part of the winch and its electric motor are additionally protected against moisture, water and dirt.

The winch is also equipped with an ergonomic rubber wired control panel.

Interior

Driver’s seat

Proper seating prevents the driver from getting tired quickly; the front driver’s and passenger’s seats have adjustments for moving closer to/further from the control panel, folding the backs, and adjusting their tilt. The headrests are also height‑adjustable.

Control panel, driver and passenger seats

Control panel, driver’s and passenger’s seats

The snow and ice vehicle has 2 rows of seats: the first row has driver’s and passenger’s seats, the second row has four passenger seats. Access to the second row of seats is via the front doors when the backrests of the front seats are folded down. The backrests and the double cushion of the rear seats are removable, which allows, if necessary, to increase the area of the luggage compartment.

Rear passenger seats

Ventilation & Heating

1 – side deflectors, 2 – windshield deflectors, 3 – heater air temperature control lever, 4 – heater damper position setting lever, 5 – lower deflectors.
For heating the passenger compartment the coolant of the engine cooling system is used, which passes through the heater radiator and heats the air passing through this radiator. The amount of heat entering the passenger compartment of the snowmobile is controlled from the dashboard by the heater fan speed switch and the heater air temperature control lever.
Outside air can enter the cabin through the air intake grilles located on the plastic housing below the windshields, through the sliding windows of the side doors, and through the hatch on the roof of the snowmobiler.

Duffel boxes

1 – duffel box on the front panel, 2 – duffel box in the underbody, 3 – duffel box in the front door, 4 – duffel box under the side rear seat, 5 – duffel box under the wheel arch.
The body of the snowmobiler has storage boxes located in the front panel, side doors, body bottom (providing additional buoyancy of the snowmobiler), rear part of the body above the wheel arches and under the side rear seats.

Luggage area

Access to the luggage compartment is through the rear door of the snowmobiler.
Taking into account the operating conditions, the floor in the luggage compartment is designed so that the snowmobiler interior can be cleaned by watering the floor with water from a hose that will flow freely through the open rear door.

Rear seat configuration

If it is necessary, the luggage compartment can be transformed into two sleeping berths using the backrests of the rear passenger seats.
